Even on the coldest days of winter
I had stumbled across- vivid, horrid gaze
Like an humble giant who stepped on splinter
The coldest night brought about an evil blaze
My eyes had felt warm, yet my heart felt a shiver
This spectacle took me with beauty and shock
For pain in my chest, when the tears don't deliver
Like time had kept silent, 'cept sounds of the clock
Who knows of the pain, that burned in the fire
Mind had no wonder of what could spark blaze
For how many lives would too soon retire
The trance that did freeze me, left by the haze
Chills of ominous smoke- that mixed with deep mist
Like a ghost on my shoulders- that left without trace
My legs would soon move, but opposed to assist
I went home without thought- turned away from that place
